MARIA E. PICÓ

María E. Picó is co-founder of the firm and currently heads the litigation practice. During her civil litigation career, Picó has represented clients in a diversity of fields including insurance and construction, among others. Her work related to shopping center law and product liability issues is widely recognized, and she is also considered an expert on Act 75, the Puerto Rico Distributors Act. A 1972 graduate of Barnard College, Picó attended the University of Puerto Rico Law School and initiated her private practice in 1979, after a clerkship in the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico.
